Born and raised in small town British Columbia, melissa macdougall spent years with pen in hand and idea in mind. Thriving in English and Literature, she was propelled by feedback referencing her dramatic styling to that of Edgar Allen Poe into turning a love of words into a life of writing. melissa understood at a very young age how the basic composition of text is able to bring about a physical reaction if it is connected properly.

The iconic small-town-girl-with-big-dreams evolved her voice and grew her repertoire to include journalism and technically-themed content. Having always had a soft spot for narration and poetry, melissa sees words as a way of bridging ideas from conceptual to realistic. Now residing in Kelowna, British Columbia, melissa continues to expand her horizons and dabble in creative text as a freelance writer.
